2008 AAU Age Divisions
The athlete's year of birth shall determine the age division that he/she will compete in. For 2008,
the divisions are as follows.
AAU:
PRB - Primary Boys (2000 & After)
PRG - Primary Girls (2000 & After)
SBB - Sub-Bantam Boys (1999)
SBG - Sub-Bantam Girls (1999)
BB - Bantam Boys (1998)
BG - Bantam Girls (1998)
SMB - Sub-Midget Boys (1997)
SMG - Sub-Midget Girls (1997)
MB - Midget Boys (1996)
MG - Midget Girls (1996)
SYB - Sub-Youth Boys (1995)
SYG - Sub-Youth Girls (1995)
YB - Youth Boys (1994)
YG - Youth Girls (1994)
IB - Intermediate Boys (1992-1993)
IG - Intermediate Girls (1992-1993)
YM - Young Men (1990-1991)
YW - Young Women (1990-1991)
*Athletes who are eighteen (18) years of age through the final day of the National Track & Field Championships
shall be eligible to compete in the Young Men's and Young Women's division through that Track & Field meet.
RELAYS: Relays are conducted in the following age divisions only: Bantam, Midget, Youth, Intermediate, and
Young Men/Women. Relays are not authorized for the Primary, Sub-Bantam, Sub-Midget and Sub-Youth division.
The Primary and Sub-Bantam divisions may move up and run with the Bantam division. The Sub-Midget may move
up and run with the Midget division. The Sub-Youth may move up and run with the Youth division.
